SheMeansNews is an independent news publication covering the business, working and civic lives of women with the seriousness applied to any other beat. We launched in 2026.

Our coverage spans women in business, leadership, money, work and careers, startups, policy, health, culture, education, lifestyle and opinion. We try to be useful before we are entertaining, and we try to be specific before we are inspirational.

We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial. We label opinion clearly. Where the evidence is contested, we say so. When we get something wrong we correct it visibly and quickly.

The desk is led by editors with backgrounds in business and political reporting. We are based online and we cover the places our readers live and work — including the ones outside the capital that other outlets reach for less often.
