A Tall Box founder Anastasia de Jong is preparing to launch a premium denim brand built specifically for tall women, turning a familiar retail frustration into a focused business launch. The Northwest Arkansas brand announced on 14 July that it will open preorders in August and officially launch in September 2026 with a debut Staple Collection designed for women 5 feet 9 inches and above.

The founder story is direct. De Jong said she spent much of her life feeling as though something was wrong with her body because clothes were not made for her height and shape. She later worked in fashion retail and saw tall women arrive with the same frustrations. Her corporate background as a Walmart buyer and sales leader then gave her a practical view of the market gap: tall customers were often forced to choose between jeans that were long enough, jeans that fit their body shape, or jeans that felt premium enough to justify the price.

A Tall Box is trying to solve that problem with three linked ideas: premium denim, true tall proportions, and body-shape-conscious fit options. The first collection includes Classic Slim, Curvy Slim and The Girlfriend fits. The Classic Slim is designed for rectangle and apple body shapes, the Curvy Slim for pear and hourglass body shapes, and The Girlfriend as a relaxed fit intended to flatter across shapes. Each style will be offered in 35-inch and 37-inch inseams, with waist sizes from 24 to 38.

Those measurements are important because the launch is not simply another extended-size story. Tall women are often served through a narrow length adjustment rather than a full design system. A jean can be long enough and still fail if the rise, knee placement, hip shaping, pocket position and fabric recovery are built around a shorter body. By naming body shapes and inseam lengths together, A Tall Box is positioning itself as a fit-first brand rather than a generic denim label with a tall option.

The pricing also shows where the company wants to sit. The limited first production run will retail at $200 per pair. The brand says each pair uses 13-ounce denim with stretch, recovery and high cotton content, and that construction choices such as fabric density, wash process and fit architecture are intended to create lasting jeans rather than fast fashion. That gives the business a higher bar: customers will expect the fit problem to be solved well enough to support a premium price.
